Recent changes in Carleton University’s Architecture Programme were explored through a re-evaluation of the School's studio and classroom spaces, and the didactic principles around which the building was conceived.
The building layers structure, space, and circulation as distinct elements which blend into a seamless composition. The design interventions cut vertical swaths through the building, tying plan and section in sets of new experiences, revealing and establishing spaces of interaction through a selective stripping of mass and surface.
